Position Overview

The Product Strategy Lead, Social is a key player in the Product Management Team. They will serve as a cross-functional market-facing leader that will assist strategic direction and go-to-market activities for DV’s Social product suite. The role involves evangelizing Social product capabilities internally and externally, ideating on innovating new products and strategy, assessing competitive landscapes, and assisting with thought leadership pieces and business relationships. The role requires big data analyses and attention to detail, as well as a good product intuition. Communication skills are incredibly important, as the position interfaces across functions. 

In order to be successful in this role, the candidate must:

  • Lead strategic and cross-functional efforts related to DV’s Social products
  • Understand business and client use cases in order to evangelize DV’s Social Products, create any necessary internal or external training and processes, and assist with go to market materials in partnership with Product Marketing, Account Management, and other DV product teams
  • Gather and analyze product analytics and insights, translating the results into internal and external recommendations
  • Work closely with Product Managers on product related questions and analysis
  • Proactively communicate and follow-up between teams to identify issues before they become blockers, and maintain a steady, organized stream of communication/status on open items
  • Be an advocate for client-facing teams by understanding the DV customer and Account Manager expectations and help Product bridge the gap to be a good internal partner
  • Understand strategic and competitive position and guide products to be recognized best in industry
  • Gather and analyze product and business analytics and insights
  • Contribute to industry thought leadership by collaborating on webinars, conferences, and white papers/blogs
  • In concert with Business Development, assist or lead external partnership efforts related to Social products
  • Research and stay informed on key companies that could impact Social products


Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in social media advertising
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
  • 3+ years of full time working experience in online advertising
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized with a rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to converse and work equally as well between sales, technical, client, and leadership teams
  • BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge and experience with digital advertising technologies
  • Successfully led new products or features to market
  • Experience working as a digital media planner or related field
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization tools (DataStudio, Splunk, etc.)
