We are seeking a commercial and tech savvy Sales Manager to work in our highly successful Sales (Amplify) team. This is a sole contributor role where the exceptional professional will sell programmatic and IO-based video advertising to agencies, ATDs, DSPs and brands directly. Candidates must have existing, high-level and well-established relationships with brands, ad agencies and ATDs along with an extensive digital advertising background.

Candidates should be energetic self-starters who enjoy working directly with clients, proactive in delivering the best possible customer experience and committed to creating new business opportunities in a dynamic environment. 

 A day in the life

  • Develop, manage and grow relationships with agencies, agency trading desks, DSPs and brands direct to support Smartvideo as the leading Contextual Video Platform
  • Educate buyers on the programmatic video ecosystem and ways to transact with Outbrain through Private Marketplaces
  • Collaborate with Publisher Sales & Account Management on supply strategies for demand partners
  • Educate and cooperate with the local Sales Team
  • Track to quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Contribute to overall company strategy, problem solving, and culture.
  • Represent Outbrain at industry functions and tradeshows.

 What you’ll bring

  • At least 5 years agency/ATD sales experience in digital video advertising with a deep understanding of the programmatic video ecosystem
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, business, related field or commensurate experience
  • Rolodex and strong relationships within agency trading desks, agencies, DSPs and direct brands
  • Proven track record establishing, developing, and executing key programmatic partnerships
  • Strong track record in meeting and exceeding sales quotas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, smart-working, able to drive multiple projects to completion
  • High energy, positive attitude, adaptable, team player
  • Experience & ability to manage multiple projects and to balance competing objectives; the ability to define and deliver on expectations and balance customer needs with business priorities
  • Proven success working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Fluent in English & Japanese
