Outbrain is looking for an experienced SEO specialist to join our digital marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the search engine rankings and visibility of the company's web assets and online content.

A day in the life
- Understand how artificial intelligence and natural language processing can be used to improve search engine optimization. Research patterns and trends to determine which strategies are most effective, stay ahead of the curve and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct keyword research to identify the most relevant and profitable keywords for the company's website and content.
- Optimize the website's content, including meta tags, descriptions, headers, and images.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues such as optimizing website speed, improving website structure and navigation,crawl errors, broken links, duplicate content and mobile responsiveness.
- Monitor and analyze website traffic and track the success of SEO strategies. Use this data to make informed decisions about future SEO efforts.
- Work closely with content creators globally to ensure that their content is optimized for search engines leveraging AI technology to create more efficient procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and updates in search engine algorithms & technology to ensure that the company's SEO strategies remain effective.
- Be a SEO industry thought leader externally and advocate for SEO to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including website managers, developers, engineers, brand marketers, content creators, and data analysts, to ensure that SEO strategies are aligned and implemented.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, computer science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in technical SEO optimization with proven successes.
- Experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics 4, ChatGPT, SEMRush, WP-Rocket, AHREF, Yoast, screaming frog and Search Console.
- Familiarity with web development principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and basic server functions.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical requirements to engineers and developers and problem solve.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
